50,000 cane toads killed in Australia

ALMOST 50,000 cane toads have been killed in a toad-busting exercise south of Darwin (Australia).

Dozens of Territorians have joined in the month-long battle, in the Timber Creek region, 400km south of Darwin, to stop the toads before they march into Western Australia...

"This initial exercise has been a huge success and we've had more than 50 people from all walks of life slug it out day and night helping wipe them out."

Anytime our fellow toads are massacred we are deeply saddened.
